Have you resolved to be Good this year?
Happy New Year from everyone at Bath Opera!
It’s that time of year when many of us are making resolutions for the year ahead.
Have you made yours yet?
The three most common resolutions people make are to:
- sort out their finances
- eat more healthily
- exercise more.
After a naughty time over the festive season you might be resolving to be good this year!
But at Bath Opera being good is not on the agenda for 2020 as we have resolved to be rather devilish in the year ahead…
That’s because our main production in 2020 features a man who, disappointed with life, makes an unlikely deal with the devil.
If you have yet to make your resolutions for 2020, don’t forget to resolve to see Bath Opera’s Faust in February!
Charles Gounod wrote his first opera, Sapho in 1851. He went on to write another eleven, his most famous being Faust.
This has become one of the most frequently staged operas of all time, with no fewer than 2,000 performances at the Paris Opéra alone by 1975.
Don’t miss Bath Opera’s devilishly innovative production this February by Stage Director Dave Key-Pugh and Musical Director Rupert Drury.
